22 May 2012

A new exhibition at Houston Museum to open on June 2nd is intended to demonstrate the evolution of life on earth includes some fascinating dinosaur fossils including the only fragment of triceratops skin ever found and a T-Rex with a chunk bitten out of it’s tail.

The Triceratops skin fragment dispels the theory that these dinosaurs had smooth skin – the fragment has bristles.

Also featured in the exhibition is the fossil of an icthyosaur baby preserved stuck in the birth canal of the mother.
