Dinosaur fossils from China help researchers describe new ‘Titan’
29th January, 2014
Paleontologists from the University of Pennsylvania have described a new giant herbivorous dinosaur species found in NW China in the journal Plos One.
The fossils represent one of the most evolved forms of the group Titanosauria to be found in China. The Titanosaurs were the largest animals ever to live on earth.
The remains suggest this particular individual was only a juvenile at 50-60ft long.
